Patongprathankiriwat school was selected purposively as the research base. Research participants involved 174 of Grade 11 students comprising of 20 leader students and 154 leading target students, teachers, school administrators, leader students’ parents, and local public health officers. The research processes were 3 steps: planning, acting, and reflecting. Research instruments included tests, attitude measuring scales, life skills measuring scales, interview forms, reflection reports, and field notes. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, while content analysis was used to analyze qualitative data. The findings were as follows. 1)Educators should understand clearly the context and characteristics of target population. Participation from concerned partners in designing and planning the learning process which appropriated to the needs of institute, student, and surrounding community should be initiated. And lastly, the learning process and activities should be regularly reflected for evaluation and improvement. Summary the findings and lessons learned was also suggested for scaling up to others context. 2) Leader students revealed that knowledge, attitude, life skills and potential appropriate to be HIV prevention leaders in school effectively. It was suggested that the revised extra-curriculum learning activity management process for developing HIV prevention leaders should be expanded in other schools with similar context |
